Does he seem like he has one foot out the door? Like he’s not fully invested? When you bring up the topic of where things are going, does he avoid the question or say he’s not ready to talk about it? This can feel like he’s pulling away, but think about it: maybe he’s not pulling away. Maybe he’s standing still and you’re pushing. It might feel the same to you, but there’s a difference.
If your guy forms a crush on someone else, is involved in an emotional affair, or is cheating on you, it's not uncommon to notice him growing distant and cold. A man who is vague about his whereabouts, is suddenly demanding his privacy, and seems to be texting or messaging another person can often be devoting his attention elsewhere while simultaneously putting up a barrier between the two of you.
Answer: You can’t make someone be at the same place as you. The only thing you can do is give him the space he needs to figure out if he wants to join you or move on. Let him go and figure things out, and if he is ready to move forward with you, he’ll let you know. Pushing him is only going to drive him farther away and will make him think you aren’t the one. Hello,I broke up with my boyfriend year ago ,we were together for 5 years ..I broke up with him …he was not calling he has done it once or twice n once on WhatsApp ! Last month he got married !! I don’t know how to make him miss me again I love him n I know he loves me back !! Any chance hell come back again ? I’m dying crying out my heart for him ! But i sent him only one statement after seeing his marriage photo on Facebook n he replied ! Since then I decided not to talk to him again (the no contact rule ) what else should I do ?

Like the advice but now I feel the connection I thought I may have had has gone from me towards the 2 year boyfriend ( we live apart & I have 1 child still at home with me). Its fine he can have his past times of long fishing trips & he likes to control the pace of the relationship. My problem is that now I do not care enough about a relationship with him anymore, so does any one else have this problem?

One of the reasons you seek new boyfriend advice from your loved ones—and ahem, the internet—is because you’re stuck reading between every line and over each text message. Here’s the hard truth about overthinking the details: The more you over analyze a man and your relationship with him, the more anxious you will feel. When you’re researching ‘how does a man act when he’s falling in love’ and and ‘how to stop a man from withdrawing’, you lose your sense of self.
No need to sign up at the homeless shelter only to impress them. Little things in your everyday life, from buying coffee for the woman in line behind you to walking your neighbor's dog, count too. Make an effort to do these things on a regular basis, but also make sure you're showing your selfless side when you're with them. When you're a kind and gracious person, people are more likely to want to be around you—both consciously and subconsciously.
If you’re like most women, when that special someone calls or sends a text, you want to respond back immediately, especially if you’ve been waiting to hear from him for a while. If you make him wait too long, maybe he’ll lose interest though, or is that just what you think? But that is definitely not the case. Responding to his contact right away sends the message that you are just sitting by your phone waiting for him to reach out. Men love a chase so you can't make it all too easy for him. A good rule of thumb is to make him wait twice as long as it took for him to respond to you last. These little games may be silly but they work and it will make him think about you and miss you. Patience will help you when it comes to texting and calling.

Hi Alexandra, This is exactly what happens to me. A lot. Do everything by the book and it does not produce results. Generally you suddenly see these guys with some bland Miss Piggy woman a month or so later. From what I have understood so far, these men think they are not good enough for you. Unfortunately, I never found any way of solving this. Once they believe this, you cannot change it. Only he can. Just find a guy who thinks he IS worthy of you. Very hard to find. Classy agency is your best bet.
Though it can be difficult to ask a man what he is looking for, it also challenges you to get one step closer to your goal. The more comfortable you are with this the easier it will become. I know that some people may not always take my advice to challenge themselves and ask the man what he is looking for, so I want to give you some other clues on what to pay attention to if you don’t want to have this conversation with him. Side note, I am in no way I offering you a pass to wiggle out of the conversation! Remember, challenge yourself.
Ladies…all I can say is if you feel insecure about your looks then make yourself more attractive for YOU! Not for a man. There’s nothing that increases a woman’s feelings of insecurity more than doing something to herself FOR a man, or for the purpose of attracting men. It may make you feel confident and powerful in the short term, but that feeling doesn’t last if your focus is on doing it for him. Your purpose should be feeling better about yourself and increasing your own confidence regardless of men. What men seem to forget is that women are not on this earth solely for their pleasure. How you feel about yourself should be totally independent of what men think.

Respond in a supportive way. Men are more attracted to women who are responsive to them.[2] If you are responsive when your boyfriend shares something with you, then he will be more likely to seek you out when he has other problems. To be responsive, listen to your boyfriend when he shares a problem or struggle with you and respond in a supportive way.

I have a 4yr old girl and a 2 yr old boy. My kids dad and i was together for 12yrs i kno all to well that this happens. My best advice is to start putting the kids in childcare and you get a lil job you like or at a daycare being you you are use to caring for kids for like 4 hrs a day and stop focusing on him. And he’ll come bac around. Like that you’ll start building your own friendships and your always busy. Pay him less attention and he is gonna be like damn what happen and what he’s expecting. Have fun a mothers life is stressful to you need a outlet.
I met this guy online 3 months ago. We were texting each other continuously for 1 month before we actually meet. He is not boring and really fun to talk to and we have some similarities. The first time we met is on a club. He has 2 guys with him and I have one girl by my side. It was cool but I left early because I have work the following day. He then asked me to go out in a club, i said no because i have an event to attend, but I invited him on my birthday party. It was fun and that’s the first time we kissed. The next day we went out on a restaurant with his guy friend and everything was going so fine. then he left for work at a 160km town away from my city. We still communicate and now he asked me to go to that town with him. At first i said no, but then I go on with my girl friend coz she wants me to happy… we had an amazing weekend at his town. I stayed in his house. We drink, had moments together and even asked me why im shy around him. We kissed and acted like a couple. He talked about his family and his life, goals. At this moment we are very close but we are not talking about being together. I dont want to ask him coz i dont want him to feel pressured..
Answer: Cut him loose. If you think that he’s cheating on you or is interested in someone else, don’t pursue him. If you take the time to step back and he doesn’t show any effort to reel you back in, then, either way, it wasn’t meant to be. If you think that he’s attracted to another woman, find someone who will be fully committed to loving you. [Read: Should you ever forgive a cheating partner?]
The hardest question of all to answer though is this one: ‘why do men pull away after intimacy’? The answer is unclear, but it’s usually tied to a man who realized you weren’t what he craved in the long run. Especially when he becomes distant in this case, it can be difficult to repair what you had. We’re not saying it’s impossible for a guy to overcome his worries about you or the relationship. However, usually, once those doubts become so strong that it makes him pull away and become distant, it’s often too late to salvage something strong and durable.
Your man wants to know you appreciate him for who he is and what he brings to the relationship. If you love him, make sure he knows. Keep in mind Dr. John Gottman’s 5:1 ratio of positive to negative interchanges. For every one negative remark you make, try to think of five positive things to say, to counteract the negative effects of a critical word. Try carving out a few minutes each day before bed where you share with your partner what you appreciate about him and why.

Let things progress naturally and look at the evidence: Do they try to see you whenever they're free? Do they seem genuinely interested in what you have to say? Does they have as much fun on dates as you do? These are likely signs they're in it for real, so enjoy being with them and relax about making things "official." "People who are wary of commitment want to feel like they're the one choosing to be with you—they don't want to feel like they're being coaxed into a cage," Trespicio adds.
I hope you can help me with this. Me and my boyfriend have been together for 4 months now. Things started out great but the last couple of weeks I’ve been kind of moody and on edge due to stressing over finding a job. This weekend I tried to get him to stay with me but he said he would have to work, but wasn’t sure about Saturday due to a possible lack of a ride. So I asked him if I could pick him up Saturday or if he wanted to wait to see me till Sunday. He told me he would just see me Sunday that he didn’t know if he had stuff to do Saturday. Is it possible that I’ve been pushing him away and he’s wanting space or looking to break up with me, or am I just over thinking this whole thing?
Hello, gud evening thanks for ur advice. My ex told me he do not want the relationship again that i should go, later he said i should give him space, i cried and begged him for two weeks after calling and texting him with no reply, i called his mom and message some of his friends and brother to help me beg him. After calling his mom, she called him and talk to him then he got pissed off and said he doesn’t want again that i should go. Then i finally agree to let him be, but the truth is that i still miss him and i still call him and message him on facebook which he sometimes reply and sometime pick my call. After reading the step now, i want to know if i should stop calling him and texting him?
Im seeing this guy on and off for almost two years now. Its just a casual hookup and we dont even talk and see each other much but were friends. I guess that occur to us as normal FWB relationship. Lately, his been pretty persistent to get my attention. Missed calls, txt messages just saying he missed me and whatsoevers. Just recently asked him a “what if question” what will he feel with me having a boyfriend and what he’ll do? He then answered He will be hurt…(long pause) he still txt me anyway and hope ill still txt him back.
But FACT is that you have 2 choices (regardless of whether he’s a jerk and blowing you off, or if he genuinely cares about you and just needs space), you can chase after him demanding answers, or you can just breathe and get your own space, some me-time, rejuvinate yourself, get happy again outside of him. In time he will either disappear, never to be seen again, or he will come back. The point is that either way you will be fine because you’re happy anyway. This compared to chasing him, hunting him down, where you lose yourself in trying to get him/get answers/get even <– this is not healthy, and you end up sadder than if you just let go.

Draw yourself away from him… Act like you’re moving on and having a better time without him. He loves and wants you but is somewhat testing you in a way. If you do these 2 things he’ll come back. I know I do all the time. He couldn’t bare to see you with other guys, you’re his woman and he’s your man… It’s hard to draw away, but he’ll start panicking.

Me and my boyfriend were together for about a year and promised each other the world to each other. Our connection was so strong and nothing stopped us from separating for a while especially since our families come from different cultures and religions. As time went by, we started having problems because of the family issue and he came to terms that it is risky to continue the relationship when we are unsure of the future. I have been doing no contact and it has been two weeks. He still had me on social media and everything. I even posted a few pictures of myself and sporting activities which I know he could see. Once I posted something about a concert that was near his place, he saw it and decided to unfollow me. He still has me on facebook, but I have no idea if that’ll last. He hasn’t reached out once to me since I started no contact. I don’t know what I should do.
The only part I disagree with is sex, I would NEVER advocate with holding sex, but I do think a woman should wait until she knows the man well enough to want to be intimate with him. If he is truly interested he WILL wait a reasonable amount of time. If you’re the type of woman who says I have to wait until date 10, he will never take you seriously. I believe strongly in the mystery and clarity that a woman has in the early days. For it is then that she makes better choices about compatibility.

Yes! Master this, and life becomes easier because you are living life, instead of ‘auditioning’ as Natasha sometimes refers to. When you realise who you are and what you’re worth, you become authentic through self acceptance. Only then will you be truly ‘seen’ by others. And only then will you tell the users and abusers to move on, because you won’t value the shi* they have to offer. Because you will know your own worth.
Your relationship problems are caused because the two of you are failing to communicate and are choosing to not spend time with each other. If you have time to hang out with friends while you are at his home town, yet you don’t make time to see him, then he has good reason to believe that you do not want to see him. You can choose to make time to visit him if you want to see him. The choice is yours. Have a great day, Vertugo!

I felt betrayed because he gave me a promise ring telling me he wants to be with me and in the beginning of the relationship he was scare I would leave him and now the tables have been turned and has already happened. I haven’t contacted him since I have been trying to keep my phone away and distract myself what I want to know is can I still salvage it ??

I hadn’t seen my boyfriend in 3 weeks. It seemed he was communicating less and less so I called him and he said he would call me back. He didn’t so the next morning I sent him a text stating it seemed like he wanted to break up so I would let him go. He wrote back that he didn’t want to break up, that his feelings hadn’t changed. That work had just been extremely stressful. He asked if we could get together to talk about it and suggested a day. I wrote him back in agreement I meet and talk. He never wrote back and wouldn’t answer my call. He ghosted me and after a month I unfriended and blocked him on Facebook. I miss him and I’m sure he’s missing me. Or was I played ? What should I do? LEt him go?

Men want a partner who can laugh at herself and who has courage and strength. They want a woman who can see her part in relationship dynamics and own it. She has to be emotionally stable. Men want a woman who is developing herself personally, and who takes responsibility for her emotional experience. Women think men only want to have a good time. Women think men have no interest in developing and growing a relationship or developing and growing themselves. Women think men want women who are supermodels, and that they never consider whether a woman is emotionally mature, kind, supportive, or loving.
Hey! I’m 19& I may have a crush on this guy who approached me in WhatsApp! I was distant at first cuz that’s what I’m like with strangers ,especially guys, who tries to talk to me even when I make it clear that I don’t want to have a conversation with them. But now its been two months and turns out he is not some stranger, he is in same college as me and we have two out of four classes together.

You guys are in the exact same situation as what i am in right now, we’ve been broken up a bit over a week now after being together for over a year. He was going through a tough time and struggling with mental health issues and decided that even though I was willing to stick by him and love him no matter what, that he needed to help himself before he could let anyone else help him. I was so upset but understood that when he said he needed some time to get himself right, thats what he needs. So I am giving him some space, we spoke last night to catch up but it was him initiating it and asking how I was.. I left it a day before I replied and he seemed like he genuinely cared. I hope things work out, he is seriously the loveliest, most caring, generous and funny person I know and we got along so well. I really hope that focusing on myself for a while and allowing him to do the same will be exactly what he needs.. I just hope we find our way back to each other soon as I miss him very much.
