Ex bf of 2 years says he does not love me anymore but wants to be civil due to our kids…we live together also…we are sleeps g in separate rooms…aftwr begging and asking for another chance, he has made up his mind that he does not want o because there is no more emotional connection….eventually, told him that I understand and respect his decision and he should do whatever makes hi. Happy and I’ll do what makes me happy…said we can keep a civil relationship for the kids and with time we can figure out moving arrangements since it’s not in our pocket budget to do so now, asked of him to just please respect me while we still live together and to keep his personal life outside our apartment…and just said we could work out a civilized friendship…. I needed to say that to get some closure….is there anyway he will, with time, miss me?

What women think men want from them often causes women to have resentment and anger toward men, and feel hopeless about ever developing a wonderful, warm, romantic partnership. What men think women want from them often causes them much of the same feelings and frustration. The sad part is that it does not have to be this way, if only we would realize that both men and women are human beings first and pretty much want the same thing. But, you don’t have to take my word for this. I asked a number of men and women who are actively involved in personal growth and development what they want from a partner in order to build a great relationship. You will find their answers unexpected.
Step 2) Post a picture of you having a good time. Instead of him getting the comfort of knowing you are depressed without him in your life, show him you are still out and enjoying life without him needing to be in it. As I have mentioned many times in many articles, men are attracted to happy women. Not only that, he will want you more because he is going to be slightly upset at how un-upset you are. This is human instinct. He is going to want you to miss him, which will in turn make him start to miss you. Remember how having fun is part of this phase? Post a good picture of it!
If you know the actual reason why your boyfriend or husband is acting distant and not giving you the attention and time that you deserve you will be able to correct the situation and get his attention back. The key is to try to understand the reason behind your man’s cold and distant behavior. Here are the possible reasons why men withdraw in a relationship.
When he's feeling frequently put down, rejected, or demeaned, it's not uncommon for him to act in a cold and distant way because he doesn't want to engage with you at the risk of having another argument. Rather than fighting all the time, it's important that you and your man work on your listening and communication skills in order to handle your arguments in a constructive way that brings you closer together—rather than farther apart.
Women have an innate desire to be heard and understood. They want a partner who will listen to them without judgment and who will create an environment where they feel comfortable expressing vulnerability. Some of the best relationship advice for men is learning to master the skill of empathy. There are many ways to be empathetic, which include active listening, suspending any judgment or preconceived notions you may have about a given situation and putting yourself in her shoes, and showing positive body language to let her know that you’re engaged in the conversation.
My boyfriends mother passed away 5 months ago he took it really hard.we have been together for 3 years we had planned to get married and have a baby.I came home from work one day and he said it was over. No fight because we never fight. He said he wanted to go to school and better himself but he had to do it alone. We talked in the beginning. I decided to do no contact after 4 days he texted wanting to see me for lunch. Everything went well a couple days later I asked to go to dinner. After we went to dinner I tried to put the moves on him. After being shot down he left. He texted me the next day saying he had fun. Feeling rejected I decided to go back to no contact. It’s been 9 days and nothing. However he saw a friend of mine the other night and talked about how he misses me and my son. He told her we still talk and see each other.
This man is clearly into you, romantically, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. He’s making that clear with his words and actions. He is making an effort to connect, to spend time with you, and is public with his interest and affection. I think you are getting in your own way. It sounds like you need to re-evaluate your expectations of what love/attraction/romance should look like . You say:

i dated this guy for two years and 3 month he knew my parent did not like him but he stayed and i did not know what i did to him but he never trsted me in the relationship his ex always message him telling him she loves him but when i look at his phone he gets angry the last time he told people we were not serious i broke p with him and he begged them we came back together after that we started stayed a while together and i told my mum about the guy i was dating she told me to break up with him and i told him and he accepted it . then i came back to tell him i do not want to be friends with him and he knew he did not want long term with me but he keeps coming to my house and he knows i love him and i keep having sex with him when i know he will hurt me and am just trying to forget him. he does not want a relationship with me.we have being broke up for 3 month and 1 week

If your guy forms a crush on someone else, is involved in an emotional affair, or is cheating on you, it's not uncommon to notice him growing distant and cold. A man who is vague about his whereabouts, is suddenly demanding his privacy, and seems to be texting or messaging another person can often be devoting his attention elsewhere while simultaneously putting up a barrier between the two of you.
So my boyfriend of 2 years broke up with me a month ago due to arguing. He is in the army and currently away. I made the mistake of begging for him to take me back, before asking if we could still talk and saying I would leave things. After 3 weeks he stops following me on Instagram and I’ve found out today he has deleted me from facebook. I don’t understand why he would wait to do these things, he also has stuff at my house that he needs to pick up when he’s back. I really want him back, our relationship was amazing when we were together, problems only arise when he’s away. Now though I’m convinced he’s talking to a girl he knew from school.

Nothing would astonish him more than realizing that, after all these years of spending every weekend partying with him, you've decided on picking Angela and Susanna over him to go shopping and partying. Of course he wouldn't mind that, well I hope he's not the possessive kinds, but let me tell you, every guy, no matter how liberal and 'open' he is in a relationship, cannot do without missing you on a routine, if you disrupt it one fine day. There you dress up for the evening with your girls, and he's already missing you.

Men do enjoy being in relationships (when it’s with the right woman, that is), but at the same time, most men have a huge fear of losing their freedom and getting trapped in a situation with a woman who sucks them dry and leaves them feeling drained and uninspired. A man will feel “free” in a relationship when he’s with a woman who is whole and fulfilled in her life and doesn’t rely on the relationship to meet her every need.

I enjoy reading your articles. I’ve been seeing this guy for almost a year. We dated before 6 years ago and the reason we stopped dating is because he said I was pushing for something he wasn’t ready for. I didn’t realize I was pushing. He’s saying now like he said before, he doesn’t want a girlfriend right now, he’s too busy. But yet he’s still interested. He has said things to me like, “I’ve been thinking about you a lot and there’s nothing I can do about”, “We are more than just friends”, and then he pulls away again. It’s been an emotional roller coaster ride with him. He lives an hour away, we only text once a week or so, and only see each other every 2 or 3 months. We get frustrated with each and have arguments but still want to see each other so there’s something there. We are both Scorpios so I’ve been reading articles about 2 Scorpios being in a relationship and reading your articles. I’ve tried very hard not to seem “pushy” and realize the relationship is what it currently is. But how long do I have to wait for him to want to see me more? What should I say to him?

same to me..I’ve broke up 2 years ago after 6 years been together. I was so sad that time but I dont want to look so pathetic. Even myself know how pathetic am I.Haha. Now I still love him secretly and I don’t know either the feeling will disappear one day or not.I want to do all this but thinking of he never care about her ex before me at all so must be he do the same to me.not care at all.I’ve secretly stalk him after breakup 2 years ago 2 times thats making me hurt like hell and i stop. Now I dont know where and how he is.

Psychologists recommend that you should balance your time together and apart to maintain a sense of well-being as an individual and as a couple; however, most of us don’t find that balance. Between work (that isn’t really alone time), spending time with family and friends, and going to engagements as a couple, it can be hard to find any alone time.
One of the reasons he liked the initial date was because he thought you were mysterious. You didn’t talk as much back then. He had to entertain you, he had to work hard to get you to open up to him. The fact remains that men love mystery! They love it when women give them a little and make them work for more. When you volunteer information constantly, men don’t place as much value in that information. When you avoid giving details and keep things as vague as possible it challenges him.
The glossy magazines that litter the newsstands do a real disservice to you all by defining beauty in such a narrow way. A quick flip through the pages and it’s boringly obvious that most of the models and celebrities featured in these magazines are really a variation on the same theme. The truth for us men, however, is that beauty is diverse and idiosyncratic. (Great news for you.) Some of us want the well-endowed woman, while others are repulsed by the surgically enhanced. Some of us want tall and slim, while others want short and curvaceous. Some of us want you to have some “junk in the trunk,” while others want it small and tight. There really is some truth to the saying, “There’s a lid for every pot.” The challenge for most women, however, is finding that fit.

It’s pretty widely known that when a man is stressed, he retreats to his “man cave.” However, there is a big difference between knowing something and really understanding it. Most women have a hard time accepting that this is how men deal with issues because when we are having a difficult time, our first instinct is to talk about it and seek comfort from friends or loved ones.
If you have to issue ultimatums to get him to commit to a relationship, you may end up hurting each other in the process. Anything done under duress is bound to blow up in your face. If you don’t want to end up with a disastrous relationship, you should avoid forcing someone’s hand. This should not even be on the list of the things to do if you want to learn how to get a man to commit.

There’s a huge difference between being interested in the person you’re with and being obsessive/clingy. If you’re sending him 100 text messages a day asking where he’s at or why he’s not answering you, trying to see him every minute of every day, or going overboard to show him how much you care about when the relationship is fairly new, you might be pushing him away from you. Men don’t want a clingy lady. They want a woman who is secure and independent but still shows that she cares in a subtle and sensual way.
This guy I went on a few dates with recently told me that I was a cool person but he thought that we weren’t compatible in the long run. He still talks to me through texting often. After he told me, I didn’t react and simply said “oh OK”.Then he asked me if I was pissed off or upset about it. I simply replied that I was fine and he told me I was cooler than he thought.

Let the royals care about titles. One of the biggest mistakes you can make during the early hook is to suggest or even hint that things have started to formalize by assigning the labels “girlfriend” and “boyfriend.” Even if you feel like things are going in the right direction and that your relationship is getting more serious, there’s an extremely wide gulf between just being someone you’re dating and someone who has been officially proclaimed a boyfriend. What your man wants you to know but won’t tell you is that affixing titles to the relationship too early is like holding up a cross to a vampire. We will often run fast and hard when we feel like we’re being boxed into something we don’t want or is too premature.

I know “no contact” can be hard, especially if you have the instinct to call or text your ex. I understand how hard it can be to control yourself when you are in an emotional state and you miss him a lot and just want to reach out. But trust me, following “no contact” is worth the benefits you will get in the long run (making it possible to get back together with him). It is absolutely essential to stop contacting him and never, ever plead with him to get back together.

You were the kind who used to put the entire world on hold to attend his call. Not anymore. Pick up his calls, but not every time. Give him an excuse that you were busy, and that you didn't notice he called. Don't be too rude or blatant, but tell him you have been occupied. Let him ring you. Talk to him sometimes, but in brief. For once, he'll wonder what the heck is up with you all of a sudden, but once he realizes that you aren't that available now, he'll be left with no other choice but to miss you, and wait till you get back.

I believe a week or maximum of two weeks in the first 6 months or so of getting to know each other is okay – for him to retreat into his man cave. If he’s going for longer than that after the first 6 months of the relationship or continuing to pull away altogether, you’re wasting your time on him. He’s not ready to settle down or simply just not into you, period. Walk away, girlfriend.
In order to shake up your ex and make him miss you, it is you that has to go through a big change. It should be something completely out of the ordinary that you would have never done while the two of you were together. You could pack up and move to a new city, or trade in your old car for the new vehicle you’ve been eying for years. By making a big change, you will be signalling to your ex that you’re moving forward with your life, and in return, it will trigger a reaction out of him! He will definitely want to be a part of these big changes because they are all positive movements in your life. Who wouldn’t want to be around someone who’s taking steps in the right direction to better themselves and their situation?

This may be the best advice. Be happy. Don’t put on a façade. Be happy because you deserve happiness. Have you always wanted to travel to Paris? Book that flight! Have you desired a new career? Go back to school. Want to learn a new talent? Sign up for that painting class. Whatever it is that will make you a happier, healthier you, do it! If your ex sees you living out your dreams, he may miss you and come back. If he doesn’t, one day you will realize you don’t care. Guys really do like happy girls the most because they want to feel good when they're around you. If you're constantly full of drama when he’s around he’s going to start associating feeling bad with being around you and this is going to end things rather quickly. When you’re happy around him he’ll also be more inclined to reach out to you the next time he’s having a bad day.
You deserve better.. don’t contact him, it’s desperate… I know it’s hard, but respect and love yourself. Take it from a girl who took 13 years to get out. He doesn’t respect you nor your relationship .. he has control, knows you’ll be there should he want to return. Please, take time to really determine if you want to spend life with someone who breaks up with you every few months? Hits on other girls? Hangs up on you? He isn’t invested in the dynamic.. don’t give more than you receive.
This is stupid. Just because you miss her/him, means she/he is going to miss you back? Um, hello? Reality check! If she/he dumped you, they are relieved! They dumped you for a reason and most of the time it’s because of what you believe in or something not right about your personality. And if you’re obsessively stalking them on FacePace or whatever, they have GOOD reason to keep you out of their lives! Please STOP trying to encourage otherwise good people into stalking their ex! It’s really really creepy!
What women are really looking for during the first several dates is if she feels an emotional connection with you. Having meaningful conversations show that you’re truly interested in who she is as a person rather than just wanting to get her into bed. Show her right off the bat that you’re genuinely interested in getting to know her by sharing something about yourself. You will signal to her that you’re willing to be open with her, which allows her the opportunity to let her guard down and reciprocate. Find out if you have any shared interests and values and don’t forget to be a gentlemen on your date by treating her with respect.
I started a relationship slow with this guy. We fell in love said we were everything to one another. He just started a new job and his ex started giving him his kids all the time. He also takes classes a couple nights a week busy schedule. He informed me his kids come first period. Anyway he was having issues getting transportation so I helped consign for a car which he’s making the payments on. This was three weeks ago.. I saw him last night because he dropped me money for the car. Which I should of never did already know. He proceeds to tell me that he doesn’t have time for a relationship yet he loves me and cares about me. From three weeks ago to talking about having kids w me to now he has no time for me. I do know his schedule and it’s crazy. So he texted me last night to check on me and I lied said I was out and he goes checking on you. I said Thanks im fine. He then tells me gn and love ya not love you like he normally does. This morning he texts me again good morning hope you have a great day taking the girls to a b day party. Keep in mind been seeing him three months haven’t met his kids. Then around noon he texts me hope you having a great day. I haven’t replied to him at all. He said last night let thing settle for him if we are both single still then we can try again. Yet he’s telling me about his day and I have a damn car payment he Will be dropping off once a week that I don’t know how to handle if I do no contact. I feel lied to and used st this point. I am doing the no contact rule but unfortunately a little hard when hes going to drop off payments to me and we have to correspond bc of the car. What do
Actions do speak louder than words and when it comes to communication with your man, up to 85% comes from your body language. It’s normally the physical draw that gets the conversation going. When it comes to the chemistry, it’s the pheromones that certain people are drawn to. Researchers believe this is what makes people want more after the first signs of physical attraction.
#5 He is stressed out at work. Men are not like women. They are not multi-taskers. If he is preoccupied with something like work, he probably isn’t capable of keeping his focus on two things at once. If you notice that he’s no longer as interested as he used to be, it’s important for you to start looking not only at his behavior but at what is going on with his family and work life as well. It may have absolutely nothing to do with you at all.
It`s so true like you said in the post “Commitment is scary but it’s the most beautiful, courageous and beneficial thing you can do for yourself. Once you commit, life becomes so.much.simpler. Your emotional constipation ceases to exist as does looking for laxatives in the form of gossip, acting on impulse, engaging in friendsh*ts, relationsh*ts and validation seeking.”
#7 He has low self-esteem. If you’ve been together for a while and things have not gone financially the way that he thought they would, he may be feeling inadequate. When a man feels like he can’t provide the way that he wants to, the pressure of being with someone he loves can become overwhelming. Transferring his feelings of inadequacy to you, he may unwittingly be pulling away due to his own feelings of inadequacy, blaming you for his failures.
