Im in the current situation right now… He wants space for me being paranoid for past few weeks.. I really dont know wat to do, he is so busy and stressed from work.. He asked for space, i ask him if he is breaking up with me he said no he just need time and space for the meantime… Need your advice please… I dont want us to be apart i really love him..
Update: I had a legal question so I texted him after about 6 weeks from when he asked for space, and he responded quite eagerly, and told me he would normally not give legal advice to someone he found so sexy and with whom he has intimate relations… he told me I owed him dinner but I just laughed and thanked him for the legal advice. Now it’s his time to wait!! I texted him again a few days ago with another legal question, and he called me today on the phone because he said that he could only answer the question off record and not in writing. He told him that normally he would not give out free legal advice, but he liked me and wanted to help. I thanked him and he said he wanted us to talk again soon… Slow moving but promising! :)
Even if he doesn’t realize it at first, he will eventually learn that he has more minute-by-minute fun with you than he does with other women – other women who spend too much time trying getting a commitment out of him through pressure and nagging. In the end, he is going to follow his heart…and his heart always follows the most intense feelings and experiences—the memories of laughter, talking, and excellent conversation.
We’ve broken up once before about four months ago, it was different. But I guess I’ll admit overall the same thing. Except it was for TWO DAYS. and even within those two days we still talked slightly. I can’t tell you exactly what it was about. But long story short, I wasn’t being the more positive. I wasn’t treating him the way he should have been treated. I wasn’t treating him badly, but I wasn’t fully aware of everything he was doing for me. I was negative. Always complaining about my home life, friends, job, blahnlah. But very soon I realized how I was acting wasn’t going to get me or him anywhere for awhile. Then we talked. We were happy. We were together. He had planned to be with me the whole time. Just wanted me to realize some things. Boom. Happy.
I didn’t realize it then, but I don’t think I should’ve jumped back into the relationship so quickly. Because very soon afterwards, I started to fall into another slump after I lost two jobs within two months. I was stressed again, and started to feel depressed without realizing how much I put on his shoulders. He never complained. He was there for me. I feel like I took it for granted a little bit.
Hi, I just need some advice, couple of month ago me and my boyfriend had a big argument and he ended up texting someone else for sex and that, nothing happened but intentions was there and from then on things just got bad. After that we tried to sort things as he said he did but my trust of him had gone and I felt he was saying the right stuff but wasn’t proving anything. It has got to the point now I couldn’t take anymore of how I was feeling and called it a day for good about a week ago, since then I haven’t heard anything from him but I do miss him and all I wanted was him to show me he cared and wanted me back.. just wondered what I should do? I do love him but after everything he’s done it doesn’t make sense to me anyway
I honestly think that it’s Bill to say its natural for a man to pull away. Ladies if this is a continuing behavior, pout your foot down, thou don’t deserve to be treated like a doormat for him to wipe his get on when he feels comfortable. This way of thinking is saying that its acceptable behavior and we should coddle tnen when they decide to cone around… This is ridiculous and we’re living in a new she of sissyfied men. If I want to coddle something I’ll grab my cat. Step into this mellinium please and stop making men the victims of their selfish behaviors its sickening! Men aren’t children and shouldn’t be treated as such. If they want the relationship they’re in, if not pack sand, have a great life and good luck finding a woman who will out up with that behavior these days.
He knows I hate when he ignores me and sometimes I feel he does it purposely. It will only be a few hours so I know I’m also being irrational but during those times I completely get beside myself thinking he’s with the woman he slept with. Last night I went to his house and he basically kicked me out at 2am bc he was doing paperwork (taxes). He called me crackw%^*# and a liar, I’m not even sure why he would call me such filth and told me I’m too independent and I need to learn to be more submissive. Instead of arguing I should be making him dinner and cleaning his house. Other times he adores and worships the ground I walk on. This all started when I wouldn’t move in to his house bc I felt if he truly wanted to live together we could move into another house together. Plus he absolutely hates my dog, my apartment and basically everything I do. I ask him why he’s even with me if I have according to him so many “hang ups”. Advice please.
As much flack as classic romantic comedies receive for being unrealistic, some of their messages ring loud and true when explaining why men pull away. More often than not, experts explain most men withdraw for one of three reasons: they’re lost interest because he doesn’t see a future for your twosome, he’s afraid of becoming too vulnerable with you, or he feels rushed to commit to a more serious union.
I have a long distance relationship since Jan (Spain-Sweden) seeing every 3 weeks, he said he doesnt have time for full time gf which i said ok so distance is fine so it has been fine as he is been full on even flew to surprise me like crazy! and i know he is crazy about me, all is good but suddenly (2 weeks ago) he said i am in his head all day and he needs to focus in work as he has a financial goal. and break up w me but in tears so it showed me he cares about me but we talked after and i believe, been w me has affected his work and he feels bad about it. i told him we can step back a bit so he can focus in work. help!!!!!!
What women think men want from them often causes women to have resentment and anger toward men, and feel hopeless about ever developing a wonderful, warm, romantic partnership. What men think women want from them often causes them much of the same feelings and frustration. The sad part is that it does not have to be this way, if only we would realize that both men and women are human beings first and pretty much want the same thing. But, you don’t have to take my word for this. I asked a number of men and women who are actively involved in personal growth and development what they want from a partner in order to build a great relationship. You will find their answers unexpected.
Sometimes, it’s not about what he wants but what he doesn’t want. Maybe he’s not sure about committing to you. But what if he’s sure of not wanting you to commit to someone else? Make use of that fear of his. Casually drop this bomb in conversations that you have, you know, like how you’re tired of immature boys in your life who don’t want to commit, and how X (a friend of your friend’s) likes you. Let him connect the dots and then watch fear creep into his eyes. That’s one spectacular way on how to get him to commit!
Been with my boyfriend for 6 years we have 2 beautiful Little boys together And about 2 weeks ago He started to get distant with me and I kept trying to plan stuff to do with him and you kept blowing me off And 5 days ago he broke it off with me But wants me to still live with him And sleep with him But we’re not together I don’t know what to think or how to feel All I know is that I don’t wanna be with anybody else but him I can’t get you another man in my life at all I don’t want you I’m 36 he’s 38 Our kids are 2 and 4 Is there anything I can do to get him to love me or be in love with me again He says he’ll always love me He’s not in love with me anymore
I dayed someone long distance for 7 month…most amazing man I’ve met and treated me so well but the communication was not the greatest when he was around friends and family and I was non existent to his social media and have not met anyone significant to him and he would not commit to a relationship. To cut the long story short I recently ended things because of the lack of effort and commitment after 7 months which breaks my heart because I truly loved him. I’m going to try this process and see if he decides to commit I just hope I did the right thing leaving him because we never had one any issues. Ugh any advice am I doing the right thing???

“Men are so used to being pursued when they’re trying to gain perspective that he’s going to be shocked you’re giving him the space he wants. He’ll realize that you’re different from most other women he’s dated, in a good way” – Good doesn’t begin to cover it. I would be ecstatic and incredulous that my partner is actually willing to let me do what I need to do to be myself, with no ulterior motive.
It's like with dogs or children — you stick to your guns and you politely, patiently repeat the boundaries until they respect them. He gets it or he gets lost. Period. If you truly start to follow this theory, he'll feel how serious you are about being respected, and if he's at all serious about you, he'll get aboard the good boy train very fast. He'll know that if he doesn't, he'll be left at the station!
Men want a woman to choose them out of want rather than out of desperation — either materially or emotionally. Men need to be wanted and needed by their partners, but they want their partners to have a separate identity. Men want a woman to be active and independent, to have her own friends and interests. On the other hand, men treasure time spent with a loving partner. Women think men don’t want women to need them. Women think men do not need or appreciate time spent together as a couple. Women believe that showing a man he is needed will turn him off and possibly make him run away.
Hey there. If I may, I’d like to say that we are currently in a similar situation with the ‘ex-guy-comes-back-and-the-two-of-us-starts-dating-again.’ And I can understand the emotional roller coaster you are going through and the feeling of tiredness is not new to me most particularly since I am in my last year of getting my law degree. The stress arising from thinking about his slow reaction time to my texts, and the fact that we seldom go out together are driving me up against the wall. And so I finally but gently told him that I was seriously exhausted, not just because of him, and that I needed to focus on myself first so I was implying that I would be leaving him out there for awhile while I do my own thing.
You can tell if you’re lacking empathy when you hear responses from your partner like: “You’re always trying to fix things,“ or “I just want you to listen,” or “You just don’t understand.” Non-empathic behaviors make her feel like she’s alone, that you don’t understand her, or that she can’t rely on you to help her overcome issues. On the other hand, conveying true empathy makes her feel as if the two of you are in this together. You’re a unit, a team, and you can work through challenges together.
Build yourself up emotionally; accept how he has come to “view himself”; but, whatever you do, don’t allow yourself to succumb to his self serving subtle bigotry. Cry, if you must, but please don’t try to hold on to him. And, by the grace of God get out sooner than later while your children don’t really know the difference. He isn’t going to get better… . He knows what he is doing; so, you must learn what you must do for you and your children. Put a plan in place…contact a domestic violence shelter. Here is a good book to read. It’s entitled, “I Closed My Eyes.”
My boyfriend has a small company “hobby” and seems to spend a lot of time and effort into that. When I try to talk to him he ignores me even when I leave him alone for hours. He seems to be more interested in his “hobby” than listening or just telling me how his day went. I don’t pry at all but after work of not talking to him all day all he wants to do is his “hobby” I don’t feel valued right now and just wanted to vent about it really.
Great article . Men deal with emotions differently , they also truly want to be in charge and for this they need to withdraw in order to think . For women its an opportunity to cool down and figure what they truly need from their men . And when he comes back be busy , be sweet ,understanding . Men dont change their mind that easily , the live they have for their women dont fade . Keep calm
It’s especially important you avoid sex in the beginning months because players WILL take a hike. For those guys, there is easier “prey” out there and they will avoid you if they sense you’re going to make them wait. Force him to learn who you are. Then after the first sexual encounter, make him work doubly hard for the second. It only escalates until he commits.
Hi! My ex broke up with me because of the exams I will have in next June called panellhnies and it determines what university will I study. Nevermind, he broke up with me because he could not see me as much as he wanted to during that time. Now he is commenting on one of my friends Instagram posts and asks her if they can go to the gym together etc. I feel so heartbroken and I really want to make up things with him and be together but I believe he doesn’t think about me. How can I make him want me back?
