It`s so true like you said in the post “Commitment is scary but it’s the most beautiful, courageous and beneficial thing you can do for yourself. Once you commit, life becomes so.much.simpler. Your emotional constipation ceases to exist as does looking for laxatives in the form of gossip, acting on impulse, engaging in friendsh*ts, relationsh*ts and validation seeking.”

Let things progress naturally and look at the evidence: Do they try to see you whenever they're free? Do they seem genuinely interested in what you have to say? Does they have as much fun on dates as you do? These are likely signs they're in it for real, so enjoy being with them and relax about making things "official." "People who are wary of commitment want to feel like they're the one choosing to be with you—they don't want to feel like they're being coaxed into a cage," Trespicio adds.

Answer: Cut him loose. If you think that he’s cheating on you or is interested in someone else, don’t pursue him. If you take the time to step back and he doesn’t show any effort to reel you back in, then, either way, it wasn’t meant to be. If you think that he’s attracted to another woman, find someone who will be fully committed to loving you. [Read: Should you ever forgive a cheating partner?]

Without even realizing it, he’ll see how great being in a committed relationship is. It’s even better if you talk about it but you need to be careful. Instead of saying things like, “anything for my boyfriend.” Say something along the lines of, “I’ll do anything for someone I care so much about.” It’s less scary and proves to him that you really do care. You should investigate whether he is not being loving or interested, or if he’s just not doing that in the way that you expect or are used to. You may have unspoken expectations or fantasies of what a relationship should look like, and your projections are getting in the way of appreciating the good relationship you actually have. It sounds like you might have different love languages as well, where you need a lot of verbal affirmation and maybe that’s not his strong suit. That is something you can discuss with him and ask for more of. You can tell him what’s working for you and what’s not, or that you’re unsure whether he’s into you romantically despite all the evidence, and try to hear and understand where he is coming from.

I miss my boyfriend too. We where so close, we met at church 3 years ago and honestly my life has been a bundle of happiness. Right now he went to a refugee camp because he's not from my country and back in his country there is war at the moment. I cry every night because I know how harsh they are treated there. He has been gone for a week now and it feels like a whole decade already. What is more hurtful is that he might take even longer because of the lengthy procedures. I really miss him

So my boyfriend of 2 years broke up with me a month ago due to arguing. He is in the army and currently away. I made the mistake of begging for him to take me back, before asking if we could still talk and saying I would leave things. After 3 weeks he stops following me on Instagram and I’ve found out today he has deleted me from facebook. I don’t understand why he would wait to do these things, he also has stuff at my house that he needs to pick up when he’s back. I really want him back, our relationship was amazing when we were together, problems only arise when he’s away. Now though I’m convinced he’s talking to a girl he knew from school.

Hi I’m a gay female and I had a one year relationship with a girl at work but she had a bf she was only working as an internship and left 6 weeks ago since leaving she has said that she only wants to be friends and if we can’t be friends we shouldn’t speak but I don’t think ndearstand why she changed her mind so quickly she’s gone from saying I love you everyday to not wanting to talk to me at all really and when I try to talk to her she just gets angry and rude with me, I miss her everyday and gutted that she’s choosing to stay with her bf that’s she’s cheated on for a year then even try and sort things out with me I don’t know what to think or do anbout the situation I try not to txt her but it’s hard coz I miss her so much we doesn’t nearly everyday together for a year and now no contact at all she she replies if I txt but will never txt me first she says she donsnt think about me or love me anymore and only misses me as a friend after 2 weeks of being apart she said that to me I said then her feelings couldn’t of been there in the first place and she says think what you want?! I dunno what to think!
So I took the initiative of stopping by before he was to leave for work the next morning, me being pressed. We kinda talked but it reverted to me acting crazy and being accused of starting the altercation. He said doesn’t want the relationship anymore and we can just be friends. I was then n am now hurt. I shed a few tears . I asked if I could have a kiss since our 1yr relationship was over n he said no. He then said I’ll kiss your cheek. I opted for it and after asked if I could kiss his cheek back. He agreed and as I reached for his cheek the damn water works shot out like a lightning vult. I then grabbed his whole face while hugn, kissn, and cryn on his cheek, he proceeded to turn and kiss me and it felt like a rebirth. I then stated to just leave and head to work while I walked away. Heeeelp
Nothing would astonish him more than realizing that, after all these years of spending every weekend partying with him, you've decided on picking Angela and Susanna over him to go shopping and partying. Of course he wouldn't mind that, well I hope he's not the possessive kinds, but let me tell you, every guy, no matter how liberal and 'open' he is in a relationship, cannot do without missing you on a routine, if you disrupt it one fine day. There you dress up for the evening with your girls, and he's already missing you.
He knows I hate when he ignores me and sometimes I feel he does it purposely. It will only be a few hours so I know I’m also being irrational but during those times I completely get beside myself thinking he’s with the woman he slept with. Last night I went to his house and he basically kicked me out at 2am bc he was doing paperwork (taxes). He called me crackw%^*# and a liar, I’m not even sure why he would call me such filth and told me I’m too independent and I need to learn to be more submissive. Instead of arguing I should be making him dinner and cleaning his house. Other times he adores and worships the ground I walk on. This all started when I wouldn’t move in to his house bc I felt if he truly wanted to live together we could move into another house together. Plus he absolutely hates my dog, my apartment and basically everything I do. I ask him why he’s even with me if I have according to him so many “hang ups”. Advice please.
Well, Eric Charles is the guy and he promotes the masculine behavior. For God sake, women, our message is clear what we want in a relationship. I am tired that we are always trying to please those guys and etc. The reality is that guys behave as they want and we need to adjust to their particular needs. All those articles say that we need to understand their mindset and how they function so that we could finally find a happy relationship. We basically have to play games. Men are really complicated. Women are very simple. If they want something they say. shhh!!! watch out!! If you say this, the poor guy will be frightened. He does not want to commit. Do not make love with him because he will get what he wants and again he will not want to commit. Jesus! Then, why they do not try to understand how women function and to adjust. Most men are absolutely idiots when it comes to the relationship. We women can give some classes to our sons so that at least new men generation would be more aware of the subject which is “women”.
I tried to ask him why and fix things but it got worse everytime I tried and when we were on the ph he ignored me the calls were silent and when I did say something he ignored me :( we used to be close we were friends on snapchat he chose to ignore me but still watched my mystory and it went on like that 4 weeks till I got upset and blocked him on my snapchat but still have him on Skype and his # we even would mail each other presents for holidays I fear he may have moved on and doesn’t like me anymore
Kevin, a lawyer from Florida, once told me, “Everything was going great with this girl Tiffany whom I asked out to dinner. But then she started talking about her exes. I nearly choked on my steak when she told me about…the things she used to do with them. I don’t know what her deal was, and the only reason I didn’t sneak out the bathroom window was because they didn’t have one!”
One of the most important pieces of relationship advice for women is to have fun with your partner. Being able to joke around, go on adventures, and laugh together as a couple will help you be better able to weather any future storms that may arise. You and your partner should make an effort to go out, bring back date night, travel to exotic places, and try new things as a couple in order to keep the spark alive between the two of you. So instead of sitting on the couch each night binge-watching Netflix, take your relationship out of the house and find new and exciting activities to try.
I read your article and found it useful as this was my first serious relationship and he has decided to ended by ghosting (he did however tried to end it before and pleaded to give us a chance) after texting him concerned about why he is not answering and that was a week after me not contacting him he calls me ending it anws I pleaded for him to come by tmrw so we can talk I wasn’t sure he was going thru it and I ended up going through binge drinking to the extent he came by and saw me all drunk and vunrable he left shortly (I do not remember that much) and ended calling him once and texting him a huge message about admitting what we had was real
