My bf and I were together for almost 2 years, LDR. We broke up in December 2018, but then got back together right after New Years. Then, he forgot my birthday for the second year in a row and I flipped out. I unloaded on him that I was the one doing all of the driving, spending, planning, and that he didn’t even want a relationship with me, that he didn’t care about my life, business or a future. He is a doctor and makes it clear that he’s ‘important’…..I had had enough of always coming last and being hidden. He never introduced me to friends or family, nothing. I would love to have him back if he could only see how I felt. I simply think he’s another run of the mill commitment phobic, but, how can I see if he misses me after the no contact if we are LDR? There were many qualities about him that I loved, and I have no interest in dating anyone new. No contact has been 26 days or so now; his birthday is coming up in April, should I wish him a Happy Birthday in a few months? He is 58, I am 53. Thanks for any input.
There’s a huge difference between being interested in the person you’re with and being obsessive/clingy. If you’re sending him 100 text messages a day asking where he’s at or why he’s not answering you, trying to see him every minute of every day, or going overboard to show him how much you care about when the relationship is fairly new, you might be pushing him away from you. Men don’t want a clingy lady. They want a woman who is secure and independent but still shows that she cares in a subtle and sensual way.
I’ve been in a long distance relationship for a little over a year. We have been through so much in the time we’ve been together and I can honestly say that I am in love with him. He started to drift away and I kept pushing. Today I asked him did he need a break and he told me he think he did. I immediately felt heartbroken and didn’t know what to do so I panicked. I started to tell him how I didn’t want a break and that I wanted to fix it. I asked him what changed and he told me everything. I then begged him to just try. I realized that I’m forcing the relationship witch will only have a heavier hurt in the end . There’s so much more behind this but here’s the basis. I told him I loved him then I asked him could we please keep trying. He replied I love you too and said okay. Shortly after I regrettably started to nag him to talk to me. He then began to ignore me. I realized that I’m making him feel trapped in this relationship and that’s the last thing I want to do. So I sent him this a couple of hours ago : I realized that I haven’t been being myself at all and I’m sorry for that. I’m forcing you and I don’t want to do that to you. I realized that you were pulling away and I kept trying to push you back in. I’ve always told you that I love you and even if we are not together I want you to be happy. I’ve been thinking about this all night and the dream I had really opened my eyes.i Really do love you and as much as this hurts i never wanted you to feel like you are trapped in a relationship. If you really need a break and need time I’m willing to give you that. I just wish it didn’t have to result to a break because only god knows how much I’ll miss you ♀️ but if it’s what you really want than I understand. I am patiently waiting on a response. I honestly just want to know, if I really give him the time will he come back or have I completely blew it already ?
Get a guy to commit by being loved by everyone around him. Get on the good side of his parents and friends. This will give him a well needed nudge to make him realize that you are a keeper. Moreover, if they like you, they’ll always be positive around you and spread that positivity onto him as well. They too will give him that nudge. He will love you even more if he sees that the people he loves, are impressed by you. This is one of the greatest goals you need to achieve if you are trying to get him to commit to a relationship. A relationship is only fair and successful if both of your lives are intertwined and fit in like each piece of the puzzle. That’s why you need to take some time to get to know his family and friends, as this will lead you to get to know more about him, and we all know how relatives and friends love to reveal little tid bits from his bachelor life. And we love to hear those, don’t we?
This is stupid. Just because you miss her/him, means she/he is going to miss you back? Um, hello? Reality check! If she/he dumped you, they are relieved! They dumped you for a reason and most of the time it’s because of what you believe in or something not right about your personality. And if you’re obsessively stalking them on FacePace or whatever, they have GOOD reason to keep you out of their lives! Please STOP trying to encourage otherwise good people into stalking their ex! It’s really really creepy!
#7 He has low self-esteem. If you’ve been together for a while and things have not gone financially the way that he thought they would, he may be feeling inadequate. When a man feels like he can’t provide the way that he wants to, the pressure of being with someone he loves can become overwhelming. Transferring his feelings of inadequacy to you, he may unwittingly be pulling away due to his own feelings of inadequacy, blaming you for his failures.
Now, I want to make this very clear: I am not saying you must be a certain weight or go out of your way to be a certain way to fit some societal idea of what is right. I am not saying this. I am simply being honest about how men are going to be the most attracted to you when you are in the best shape for you. I am talking about doing the best with your unique body shape that you can. healthy is hot. Again, healthy not emaciated or unhealthy. Try to invest time in what you eat and add some light working out to your routine. You will feel and look your best.
My ex went through depression for 10 years because his ex left him. They were only together for 6 months. We were together for 2.5 years. Had a lot of problems towards the end and pretty much dragged it out for a lot longer than we should’ve, but I didn’t think we would end things because he always talked about wanting to be with me and never gave any hint that he wanted to end things. Then out of nowhere he completely cut me out of his life. Blocked me on everything. Didn’t even break up with me. I reached out to him and demanded answers and he told me that he hated me and he never wanted to talk to me again. I have no idea what’s going on and I probably never will. It’s been almost a month and I haven’t heard from him except for one email about getting some of his stuff back. I think maybe it is possible to hate your ex because I’m pretty damn sure he hates me. He was never a good communicator and he bottled everything up. It seems as though he tried to make the relationship work for so long until his feelings went away and he couldn’t stand it any longer. He never actually said this though. He just acted on it without saying a word.
Guy, yeah it might be easier if you just avoid the situation. Everything’s easier if you just run away from it. It’s not right though and a very childish way of ending things. There’s something to be said for a bit of honesty. If you ignore the person rather than saying “I’m no longer interested” it shows that you’re not honest. It says more about you than it does about the girl who you’ve just left out of the blue. Been out with a few guys who for some reason or another have realised that it’s not what they want and they were honest about it. Didn’t like it because I really liked them so was a bit hurt but I got over it eventually.
Hello Adam. Thanks for offering such an exciting post and video. You’ve HIT the nail on the head! From my experience, yes, men totally enjoy their SPACE and we should make sure they get it. Respect his space and have him respect yours. Confident women with a touch of mystery and charm will most likely excite men to pursue and return again and again. I enjoy spontaneity and time spent exclusively enjoying my own range of soothing pleasures. First enjoy loving yourself – having a massage, facial, pedicure, and or just spending time at favorite events with other special friends and family. SPACE can make the relationship exciting!
I met a guy on a website some while ago, we met and it went great – was long distance. After a year, i didnt hear from him. Fast forward to last year September, i heard from him out of the blue, we chatted again for almost 2 months. We were to meet somewhere, but he didnt answer me back with a time. Was i being messed with? ( he ‘s very busy with his work, 1 kid at school). Should i just forget about him?
