Out of sight, out of mind. I don't know who instanced this one, but he who did, perhaps, knew how relationships would take a turn as time sweeps. Given the current rundown of relationships, it really isn't a tough call to see yours dragged into the rut of being taken for granted by your boyfriend quite frequently. He might start thinking that deep down under, you're not going anywhere, and that this relationship, is secure, whichever way it is. The end result? He won over you, and you lost to him, or so you both think. However, now, take that big step, go backstage, and make yourself unavailable for a while. Let him find you by himself. Don't make yourself seen. The following ways might come handy.
So me and this guy used to talk a lot face to face and then he asked for number one day and we texted all the time and spoke face to face but then after a year we no longer spoke face to face just cuz when we would act lovey dovey on text I started to freak out thinking it would be awkward face to face so yh that stopped but we still texted then I started liking him then ended up telllingg him n he said he liked me back but then his friend told me he was lying so I find out he was pretending cuz he felt bad even tho I said if. U don’t like me it’s okay. But yh we had a massively argument and didn’t speak for six weeks but I still liked him so being stupid I went running back and we have been talking ever since but now we have tiny arguments over silly stuff n he lied to me for the first time don’t get me wrong we still have a good time but I don’t know sometimes I feel like I’m wasting my time cuz I put effort it like I always text first n when I told him that he said it’s because he doesn’t kno when to and I’m like does it look like I know when ur available? No but I still text u. He also has this bff of his a girl who I get his close with but the pics they post together are couple-y. And Ik me and him ain’t together but I need advice, do I stop talking to him or what?
“I feel great that I’m hearing from you again”…is that a joke? You DON’T feel great that they treat you like that. Don’t be a doormat, it’s NOT OK to leave someone hanging, & saying that just allows them to get away with that kind of behaviour and think shelving you like a toy til they feel like playing with you again is OK. You’re better off acting disinterested & telling them flat out sorry but I’m not into that kinda thing, so you’ll have to put more effort in if you want me to stick around or I’m just going to assume you’re not interested and move on with my life. Do not allow people to treat you that way and reward bad behaviour by getting excited & happy they suddenly decide to return. Be true to yourself.
Another important thing to take into consideration is that he’s a man and he may be acting in ways you, as a woman, don’t intuitively understand. Your guy is not your girlfriend. Guys like to deal with one thing at a time. If he has a lot on his plate, he may take his attention temporarily away from the relationship. This doesn’t always mean he’s losing interest, it could just mean he’s overwhelmed.

Social media gives us all the ability to take a peek into the lives of our friends, neighbors and complete strangers. With more and more people documenting their every move on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat, you can learn more about people than you ever really wanted (or needed) to know. If you still have your ex on your friends list, you could be possibly screwing up any chance of him missing you after the break up. So if you really want your ex to miss you, cut him off from having that instant access to your life 24/7. This means you’ll need to unfriend him and possibly block him from viewing all of your social media accounts. Today, unfriending someone is the equivalent of giving them a swift kick to the chest: it’s blunt, and it’s painful. But it’s totally necessary if you want to have any chance of making him miss you so much that he starts begging for a reconciliation.

Hi Eric, I have situation that you’ve probably dealt with. I was seriously dating /living with the love of my life and we were so inove that we wouldn’t even consider anyone else. We were together for a yr and 5 months when an ex-friend ( homewrecker) began conversing with him in posts on social media. I trusted him, so nenever thought there would be risk. He ended up leaving me for her, moved in with her, and has been playing “step-dad” to her rotten kids. We’ve tried several times to work it out because he says he knows he hurt me, he screwed up and now he loves 2 women and he’s confused and has not been able to choose. He knows she wrecked us but can’t seem to get completely back to me. He even calls her stupid, and says he’s miserable with her. Now, I’m not so stupid as to not know that actions speak louder than words, but I love him and want to put us back together. She will never be the woman that I am and I think part of him feels sorry for her while I do not!! She has always been extremely jealous of me, but I’m in NO way jealous of her. Can you offer any advice? I know this is the condensed version of too many details to list…I wish I could talk to you. I believe there is hope as I know men at 46 go through mid life crises. At 45 myself though, I know what I want…hope to hear your thoughts on this. Thanks…
Hi Alexandra, This is exactly what happens to me. A lot. Do everything by the book and it does not produce results. Generally you suddenly see these guys with some bland Miss Piggy woman a month or so later. From what I have understood so far, these men think they are not good enough for you. Unfortunately, I never found any way of solving this. Once they believe this, you cannot change it. Only he can. Just find a guy who thinks he IS worthy of you. Very hard to find. Classy agency is your best bet.
Only problem is, at what point did you discuss exclusivity with each other? That conversation never took place did it? Things just ended up how they were right? Been there, done that. Being upset that he’s seeing other people is understandable, however, you’re both at fault for not being transparent and communicating clearly to each other what you really want.
You were the kind who used to put the entire world on hold to attend his call. Not anymore. Pick up his calls, but not every time. Give him an excuse that you were busy, and that you didn't notice he called. Don't be too rude or blatant, but tell him you have been occupied. Let him ring you. Talk to him sometimes, but in brief. For once, he'll wonder what the heck is up with you all of a sudden, but once he realizes that you aren't that available now, he'll be left with no other choice but to miss you, and wait till you get back.
This is one of the main differences between men and women when it comes to relationships. Men are more in the moment and are able to comfortably enjoy a situation for what it is as it is. Women are always looking for ways to improve the relationship and push it forward. It’s not that one gender has it right and the other has it wrong. There needs to be a balance between enjoying the present and comfortably laying the foundation for a future. It just can’t be done forcefully.
Consider it a warning, but with this one, chances are, you'd put your own relationship into danger. But if you and your boyfriend love each other truly, and don't need to manifest it over and over again, this one works wonders. Tell him that you're enjoying every moment of your work/school/college. Tell him you've found a cool bunch of people who you hang around with. If you think it'll cause no harm, tell him there's a cute guy who has been checking you out quite frequently, all in good faith. If this doesn't make him jealous, I know not what does.
On the other hand, you’re wild and out of control in areas where it counts: like sex! A man wants to feel like he’s losing control sexually, like you’re even more insatiable than he is. You want sex more than he does, if that’s even possible, and there are no taboos you’re unwilling to discuss. You’re not a prude. You just haven’t decided yet, whether he’s worthy of you and knowing your fantasies.
Last message I told him that I’ll let him having time there to get things done after he told me that he’s not struggling with everything. (he has lots of extra expenses for this move too) He said he has anxiety about kids moving away (where we are now and new location is about 13 hours fly) but anyway he will prepare everything for them to move smoothly.
A healthy relationship is only possible if both man and woman take responsibility of their actions and everything else. Sometimes women try to be too controlling without even realizing it. For example, asking your husband to clean his study or organize everything in his game room etc. These things can be annoying for some men and they lose interest when their woman tries to change ‘their ways’. It is not advised to make your man change his way. You can have a conversation with him and try to convey him that you would like few things in a specific way. This will give him a choice how he would want to deal with those things.

Many relationship experts swear by the No Contact rule when it comes to making an ex miss you, so it’s definitely worth giving it a shot! The rule is plain and simple: you cut off your ex for a certain amount of time, one to two months is the minimum. You send him a text message or an email letting him know you have a lot on your mind, and you’ll be reaching out to him when you’re ready. As soon as you fire off that message, all communication with your ex must cease. Even if he calls you back-to-back ten times in a row, and blows up your inbox with messages, you have to refrain from giving in and replying to him. The No Contact rule has a double purpose: it can either help you move on from the relationship, or it will make your ex miss you so much, he’ll be dying to get back together as soon as the no contact timeframe is over.
Being away from the love of your life is hard, for both of you. It may be that some days you miss him more than he misses you, this is only natural. The more we progress through life, we start to understand that sometimes the smallest things matter. Although he may not have said how much he misses you and wants to be with you, being in love and in a relationship is much more than simply speaking – it’s about we act too. Be brave and tell him how you feel, he probably feels the exact same way!
